Our Services

Chiropractic

We provide safe, effective spinal corrections to help you achieve your fullest health. Dr. Orman may recommend one or a combination of any of these treatments as part of your healing regimen:

Massage, Pre-Natal, and Deep Tissue Therapy
At times a massage may be in order to help improve circulation, promote healing and reduce overall stress. In addition to stress reduction, our therapists provide very specific muscle therapy work, lymph drainage and various other techniques as ordered by Dr. Orman. All of our therapists have extensive training and are licensed by the State of Illinois. Our massages are usually 30 to 60 minutes in length.

Customized Stretches and Exercises
As a patient of Orman Chiropractic, you can expect to receive some training during your chiropractic appointment to help you manage your pain and maintain your health at home. This training is custom designed to address your particular needs and usually includes exercises, stretching and other techniques to promote muscle relaxation and increase mobility and circulation. These exercises are a vital part of strengthening, conditioning, and rehabilitation.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
PNF is a mobilization technique that involves simultaneously stretching and contracting the targeted muscle group. Originally developed as a form of rehabilitation, PNF is also excellent for increasing flexibility, range of motion, and muscle strength.
Ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound is a type of deep heat therapy produced by sound waves. Ultrasound can help reduce swelling, increase blood flow, and decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms.

Electrical Stimulation
Electrical muscle stimulation targets specific muscles by placing electrodes on the skin. This targeted method can be used for muscle spasms, inflammation, muscle atrophy, or a combination of these.

Traction
Manual traction is used to restore the normal curve of the spine.

Lymphatic Drainage
This is a type of massage developed with the lymphatic system (your immune system) in mind. Concentrated massages are performed on the body to create proper lymph flow. This method can be used to treat a variety of symptoms, including swelling, chronic pain, fatigue, insomnia, and more.

Acupuncture / Acupressure

These traditional Chinese methods can be utilized separately or together to target specific pressure points in the body. Acupressure involves the application of pressure from the hands or elbows, and acupuncture involves the placement of small needles into specific points on the body. These methods can be used to increase blood flow and to provide pain relief.
